The landscape architects and urban designers at Davidson Design Studio have experience in greenfield, urban renewal, infill residential, commercial, industrial and civic projects throughout Victoria and across Australia.  We undertake concept design, detailed design and contract administration and provide consulting on a project from early inception through to completion.

Due Diligence

Our urban design and landscape architectural due diligence services include the preparation of sketch, verbal and written advice based on the research and analysis of potential sites, review of state and local planning provisions, stakeholder engagement with relevant referral and assessment authorities, and preparation of Landscape Guidelines for proposed developments.

Subdivision Design and Yield Analysis

Our subdivision designs and yield analysis plans provide the Client with tangible information to allow for decision making and support dialogue with key stakeholders.  We prepare plans to accompany Town Planning Applications for subdivision design and we can assist in detailed design by providing information for certificates of title and marketing material.

Schematic Design/Town Planning Plans

Landscape Concept Plans for proposed developments provide an overview of the site, the proposed landscape elements, a plant schedule, design options for the interface areas, and an outline of private landscape areas to be managed by a body corporate.

Design Development/Sales and Marketing

As a project progresses and planning permits are issued, our urban design team assists the engaged consultants with the preparation of a Detailed Development Plan. This plan aids in the preparation of certificates of title, sales information and marketing brochures.

Design Development

Detailed Landscape Plans provide an overview of a site, the proposed landscape elements, a plant schedule and material specifications. These plans are prepared in accordance with the permit, Council requirements and guidelines.

Contract Documentation

Landscape Documentation packages provide information on the landscape elements and their finishes to help inform the construction process. 

Tendering

Davidson Design Studio provides tender specifications, coordination of tender process, reviews of tenders, recommendations and engagement on behalf of our Client.

Construction Management, Handover, Defects Liability Period and Completion

Contract Management relates to the overseeing of the implementation of the landscape component of a project and includes coordination of site meetings, review of hold points and completed works, and processing of contractor claims.
