Craftworks – Abbotsford

An innovative office and community environment has been created in Abbotsford. Craftworks is a multi-storey office building featuring hospitality and exhibition spaces that engage with the surrounding community.

Davidson Design Studio worked in conjunction with CHT Architects to design ground floor landscapes, including end-of-journey facilities those commuting by bicycle, pavements that integrate into the surrounding public realm, and planting to soften the built form along boundaries.

Planting and seating solutions were developed to upper-level terraces to provide break-out space for employees.

The stunning rooftop terrace by Davidson Design Studio is a multi-function space, with dining area, informal seating, productive garden, chicken coop, and connection to the indoor theatre and function space. A planting theme was developed to flourish in the challenging rooftop environment, and planters and materials selected to complement the architecture.
