Lorne House

A stunning view and natural setting provide the backdrop to this native, coastal garden in Lorne.

The architecture of the new residence embraces natural materials of stone and timber and these same materials are brought out into the garden. Stone walls address the change in level across the site and timber arbours and fencing define garden spaces.

A native planting palette blends perfectly with the natural setting with species that are suited to the local climate and soils, set within organically shaped garden beds.

A sloping lawn leads up to a circular gravel seating area, where the ocean views can be enjoyed from within the garden.
