The architectural haven of Beaumaris has been given a stunning new modernist home, with this brand new house and garden in the heart of the suburb.
Davidson Design Studio worked alongside the team from Hotondo Homes Pakenham to create a modern family garden inspired by the minimalist beauty of Palm Springs.
The architecture makes wonderful use of timber and crisp brickwork and this is complemented with a low breeze block wall to the front garden. Terraced beds of arid and native plantings embrace the topography of the site and enable the home to sit unobtrusively amongst the Beaumaris sand dunes.
Timber and stone continues throughout the home and flows into a large alfresco area that connects to the rear garden. The lawn areas are bordered by low blockwork walls and softened with cascading arid planting.
A variety of family activity is accommodated with a basketball hoop, open lawn area, swimming pool, and pool house for outdoor entertaining.
Garden spaces are brought indoors with a central atrium of lush exotic plants that offset the crisp white tones of the interior.
